EDGE District Happy Hour Guide

The EDGE District — Central Avenue's 900 to 1500 blocks, between downtown and Grand Central — is a compact, walkable pocket with three very different ways to drink cheap. Bavaro's halves its taps and wines by the glass while wood-fired Neapolitan pies come out of the oven; Intermezzo flips from third-wave coffee shop to cocktail bar and marks the change with $3 High Lifes; and Bodega's counter serves Cuban sandwiches with rum drinks a few doors down. It's the neighborhood to hit before a show at Jannus Live or a Rowdies match — close enough to walk to both, far enough from Beach Drive to skip the markup. Deals here skew early-evening, roughly 3 to 7pm, and the whole district covers about six blocks, so one parking spot covers your whole night.
